Today was Jes’ birthday; this is the slowest I’ve been at getting a post up about her birthday since doing them. But it’s still September 11 so I’m still good! At the start of May we went to Disneyland, Universal Studios and Sea World as our last final trip together before the little one came along. Jes was about 5 months pregnant at this time so unfortunately most rides were out of the question; and we may or may not have freaked out on the Dumbo ride… yes the Dumbo ride all kids must ride. That things is freaky freaky freaky.

Below are some pics of Jes from the trip with some of the characters we met along the way. These are super touristy shots but that’s all part of the fun. That’s also my excuse for some of the clothes I’m wearing below; then again I don’t look the best when not traveling too. Winnie the Pooh wouldn’t stop kissing her; Chip and Dale are her favourites; the meerkats cracked her up and the rainy shot is us waiting for our bus that showed up an hour late (while standing in the pouring rain with no cover).

Happy birthday Jes! Love me and all your little ones (pups included).

I also want to send out a congratulations to my buddy Luke and his wife in Australia who just welcomed their new baby girl to the world today as well!

If you know me you know I’m a Packers fan; heck I proposed at Lambeau Field. I’m also on that gigantic wait list for season tickets; maybe my grandkids’ grandkids will see them. Anyway, Jes and I were talking this afternoon about the home opener tomorrow and how it is the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers vs the champion before them New Orleans Saints. Jes then mentioned how awesome it would be to go to that game and how it’d be even cooler if we “just drove down right now” to go it. Well I don’t need much convincing when something like that gets brought up; I hopped online, found some tickets and then we had to make the decision. Who goes? Considering someone is here (who hasn’t been announced on the site yet but has on my Facebook Fan Page – you should join if you haven’t) Jes has to stay behind; so I called her dad up and he jumped at the chance as well. So tomorrow morning, I’m making the drive to Green Bay to watch the game; I’ve had chills and can’t sit still from the excitement since hitting the purchase button.

Today is our 2nd wedding anniversary! Yay! My boss was pretty awesome and gave me the day off today to spend with Jes; unfortunately Jes went to work. As a small tidbit for those who like knowing random things if it wasn’t for our own wedding this whole whirlwind ride of me being a professional photographer (mostly shooting weddings) would never have happened. There’s a little bit more back story to that then that one line but if you enjoy what you see me do you an credit it to us getting married… awwwwwwwwwww.
