So I’ve been sitting on this for a couple of weeks now and still don’t really know how to describe it. When I started this photography career I really didn’t have a clue on where it would bring me and where I would end up. The acceptance of my work from those of you who visit the site frequently and from others in the photography field has been very humbling. There have always been goals that I have set for myself, either announced or kept secret that I’ve wanted to reach. One such goal that I’ve been working on over the past year was gaining my accreditation through the Professional Photographers of Canada. With the encouragement of James Hodgins and Anna from Kevanna Fine Photography the wheels were set in motion. In the simplest of forms I had to submit photos for judging and approval; they were approved; I became accredited.

So officially I am accredited by the Professional Photographers of Canada in the Wedding Environmental field. Personally and professionally this means a lot to me as a self taught photographer who essentially started this business at the request of a couple of friends who had faith in me. I have joined a small number of photographers locally and geographically who have been accredited by the PPOC. I plan on using this as motivation to continually move forward and take this journey as far as it will let me go.

A big thank you out there to all of you who have shown and given support to me over the past couple of years; there are simply too many of you to name: photo friends around the world, family and friends local here in the Sault, silent and vocal viewers on the site and all my couples, families, musicians and any one else who I may have shot or will be shooting.

And here’s an as yet, unseen shot:
