This is Nicki and Scott’s wedding from July 4th this year. It’s kind of a special date around here as it’s the same day Jes and I were married. So for the day Jes received the best gift possible – me not around for the whole day.
I met up with Nicki and the girls at their hotel as they were getting their finishing touches done and just before Nicki was in her dress. From there we headed to John Wesley United Church for their ceremony. This was the last ceremony to be held in the church as it is closing (closed?) down now. In the land of weird statistics this is the third church that I’ve shot the last wedding at now – the other two being Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady of Mount Carmel – all three churches being in the area I spent my youth.
For the formal photos we headed up to Hiawatha Highlands and even made a stop for ice cream on our way to the reception. The reception was held down at the Bushplane Museum which is always a great unique venue but even more so on this day as the American side of the St. Mary’s River were celebrating the Fourth of July so everyone in attendance was able to watch the fireworks display while still enjoying the wedding and reception.
Thanks for the great day guys!
