Back at the start of November I had a weekend off from weddings and had the opportunity to head to Toronto to meet up with Natasha and Jeff to get their engagement shoot in down there. I love the opportunity to be able to be somewhere else for their session as it gave new ideas and new scenery/backgrounds to work with. We started the day off walking from their place down to the Distillery District. After some time there we warmed ourselves up and drove to find Graffiti Alley; this place was awesome; it was essentially a number of blocks that had their alley ways open for graffiti artists to come in and tag the walls. We spent most of the time there just checking everything out, I then became extremely excited when I found Earthworm Jim on one wall and made them pose under him. From there we went to Kensington Market for a little shopping for dinner and some candid pics and ended the day off with some night shooting downtown. It was a great little trip and a fun little adventure.

Here’s Tonya and Andrew’s wedding from 11-11-11 this year, aka Remembrance Day here in Canada. They had a story in the Sault Star which you can read and it saves me the time from typing it. BOOYAH TO LAZY! Tonya and Andrew had a small simple wedding at the Delta on the waterfront here in the Sault, everything happened later in the day and all in the same location. First I swung by the guy’s room to get some quick shots of them getting ready and from there went up to the suite where the girls were at getting some shots of them. By the time the ceremony was over it was dark and cold out so we used the hotel as our backdrop for the formal shots. And just as quickly as we started we were back into the hall to kick off the reception and party.

Here’s Melissa and Jacey’s wedding from the rainy end of October. I started the morning off with the girls at the salon, when they were making their way to the next location for makeup I made a pit stop to the guys as they were enjoying a breakfast at Muio’s. As guys on a wedding day we get off pretty easy considering all we really have to do is put on pants so heading out for a little breakfast get together before the day started rolling seemed like a good idea. I had to get out of there though when the food started to arrive or else I wouldn’t have left. The girls finished their prep at their suite at the Water Tower Inn before heading to the ceremony. All morning the weather was hit and miss, it’d rain, it would clear up, it’d lightly drizzle and then rain harder again. Near the end of the ceremony it looked like we’d luck out and the rain was stopping so we could head outside for the formal shots. Then it started raining the hardest it has all day; but they were awesome about it and we headed outside anyway! We were able to get in some great shots of them out in the elements, the girls hid in the cars while I worked with the guys and then they came outside when it was their turn. I didn’t realize how bad it was raining until I get in my car and noticed how rain soaked everything I was wearing was. It was worth it though. From there we finished off the session at the Water Tower before everyone started arriving for the reception and then later in the evening when the rain finally stopped Melissa, Jacey and I were able to sneak away outside for a few more shots.
