Rachel and James have truly kicked off my “cold weather” engagement sessions. I met up with them at James’ parents house at the end of December. The weather was actually fairly nice for the time of year but the temperature definitely dropped every time we went out onto the open ice of a freshly frozen shore of Lake Superior. This is also the session where I came up with the brilliant idea of having them grab a blanket “for them to sit on” but realistically I just used it as a gigantic scarf and thus blanketscarf was born. For whatever reason and no matter how cold it usually is and how limited we get at times by the surroundings I think I love the way winter sessions always turn out and look. There’s just something about them that’s unique to the area.

Thanks for the great morning guys!
