Rachel and James had an awesome wedding on a gorgeous and probably one of the hottest August days of the year. I started the morning off with the guys at James’ parents’ place and we did the majority of their photos at that time which saved some time for later in the day. From there I met up with the girls at Rachel’s parents’ place where they were back from the salon and about to get into their dresses. Their ceremony was very unique (and a first for me) in that Rachel’s dad actually performed the ceremony; he did some quick double duty with walking her down the aisle and then performing the most important part of their day. From there we headed to Fort Creek for the rest of the formal photos and finished off the day with a rocking reception at the Marconi Hall. At the end of the night Rachel and James wanted to release a paper lantern into the sky which turned out to be an idea that sounded better than it executed.
