I ended the month of September with Val and PJ’s awesome wedding at Laurentian Lodge just north of Elliot Lake, Ontario. Laurentian Lodge is a gorgeous setting in some of Northern Ontario’s finest country and it provided a great backdrop for the weekend’s activities even with the cold and rain that lasted all day Saturday. The weather didn’t stop Val and PJ though and up till about 5 minutes before the ceremony everyone was still unsure if we were going to go ahead with the planned outdoor ceremony or move it indoors. The weather even cooperated briefly near the end of the ceremony with some rays of sun blasting through the clouds. Val, PJ and the rest of the bridal party were troopers and a half with running in and out of buildings as the rain would come down and put up with the cold and wind as we tried to get our formal shots in. We had such a fun time doing this (right guys?) that we ended up late for dinner!

Amanda and Denis were wed mid-September with their ceremony taking place in a small chapel in Echo Bay followed by their reception back in the Sault at the Comfort Suites. How much does Denis love Amanda? Their wedding day was the first day of deer season! I met up with the girls at the salon as they were finishing their hair and followed them back to Amanda’s parents’ house, swung over to the guys quickly and then back to Amanda before she was getting into her dress. Amanda and Denis then decided to have a first look which allowed us to get some great shots of them by themselves at a farm we had access to and that we went back to after the ceremony for the rest of the formal shots.

Here’s Asta and Luigi’s wedding from September. I started the morning off meeting up with Luigi and the guys at Luigi’s parents place then from there met up with the girls at the Comfort Suites as they finished getting ready there. This is also where we learned: when in doubt the charger for your iPhone can do up a wedding dress. The ceremony was held downtown at Precious Blood where we also did some of the formal shots then made our way over to Bellevue Park and finished off shooting at the old Northern Breweries site. From there we closed out the night with an awesome reception at the Marconi Hall.
