Mel and Ryan – Sault Ste Marie Engagement Shoot
Here’s Mel and Ryan, we got the great surprise of the first spring snowstorm to make its way through the Sault. For me, I found the actual day quite nice and warm and was contemplating shooting it sans coat; Mel and Ryan however found it cold and commented that it was the coldest day they’ve probably experienced all year. This is what you get when you have spoiled BC weather couples. Okay I’m jealous a little.
Mel and Ryan were up for anything and humoured me when I came up with some of the crazy ideas that I usually think of during a shoot. They also didn’t mind the fact that it seemed like everyone who was downtown on that day knew who I was and stopped and talked.
Thanks for the fun morning guys and see you when you’re back in town for the wedding.

Amanda and Chris – Engagement Shoot
Amanda and Chris were able to sneak in what was assumed to be the last winter engagement shoot of the season (oh Mother Nature, you cruel cruel woman). We used Chris’ parents’ backyard for the shoot – it sounded like an awesome idea until we actually tried to walk in the backyard. Essentially we were now trying to walk where no one has been since winter started. Good thing I like snow. While doing this Chris’ dad was out on his deck in his best paparazzi form firing away – there’s probably some SSM tabloid site running a crazy story about it now “Crazy photographer risks life of cute couple on engagement shoot” (nothing they say is true, I swear!).
Thanks for the fun afternoon guys and powering through the snow.
