Carol and Rob had a perfect late afternoon wedding at Root River Golf Club at the end of September. It was a great warm end of summer day with a cool wind. After the ceremony we headed out onto the course to get the bridal shots done before the sun went down. Rob just completed building his 1970 Chevelle and had it waiting for us out there as well. Just standing by this thing made my beard grow bigger. To top that off his best man also brought out his Chevelle to increase eye candy for anyone heading into the reception. Later on in the evening Carol, Rob and myself headed to the down the dead end street and did some night shots with them and car. Big thanks go to Kevin for coming out with us and holding some lighting gear for me.

Here’s Part 2 to Laura and Denny’s McGregor Bay wedding (check out Part 1 here). We’re kicking this off with the ceremony and working all the way to the morning of the next day were a crazy storm was working its way into the bay. Laura and Denny’s ceremony took place at her aunt and uncle’s cottage on a separate mini island, this is also where we got in all of the family and bridal party shots. From there we boated back to the main party island for the reception and the formal shots of Laura and Denny. This post features some special guest appearances from a bear (yeah… we’ll go with bear), the Mayor of Party Town and some awesome Nintendo character cookies made by one of the bridesmaids. The party was rocking through the night and we may have shut the island down from any other weddings but you might as well go out with a bang right?

Bree and John were married in the middle of July. I met up with the girls in the morning at the Delta where they were getting ready and having the final touch ups of makeup being done. We were able to see their ceremony site from the windows of their suite as they decided to have an outdoor ceremony at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. We had a great day outside and the weather was perfect. For the formal shots we headed to the arboretum and finished off the night with a great party at the Marconi.

And what generally happens when I’m out shooting is I start doing the poses as it is easier for me to show them off then to describe them in words – because let’s admit it – most times my words don’t make any sense. For the most part no one grabs my camera and shoots me acting out the pose, but sometimes they do. You saw the matching shot with Bree actually doing this above:
