This will be the first in a series of posts. How many in the series I really don’t know. Also the title was my choice, Jes’ choice was “Where Am I?”. So the first question is: who had the better title?
Now the second question is, just where exactly are we? The continent, country, state/province and city don’t really count but you can try to narrow it down that way. The clues for this post:
1. it is sunrise
2. it cost $1 USD per person to access it
3. we wore our hiking shoes
4. a city is viewable in the 4th picture

After some research, I have concluded that these pictures were taken in the Honolulu Watershed Forest Reserve, and the city in the fourth picture is indeed Honolulu…
I’m likely wrong, however…

Chuck’s guess went to moderation so Kelley didn’t see it. And if you’re fighting for “who was first” someone also guessed on FB before the 5th “I’ll make it easy for them” clue was up. And you’ve only found the first place I’ve been – there’s more coming.
