Mei and Dan lucked out in being guinea pigs during their engagement shoot with some new toys that I decided to try out. Thanks for being willing participants guys! We started their shoot off walking the back streets of downtown Sault Ste. Marie and ended up at the Sault Locks. Along for the shoot was Daisy, their teacup chihuahua; who is small. I picture Harvey, my sort of Jack Russell looking dog to be small and Daisy was 1/4 his size. And she loved me, because all dogs do.

Mei and Dan also brought A Lovely Love Story along with them. It is a book that will be read on their wedding day and so it worked to be featured in the engagement shoot as well. Mei had assistance with styling from her friend and local stylist Marla and made the decision to wear the “Anyone can be cool but awesome takes practice” shirt in my honour. Also helping us out on the day were Mei and Dan’s friends Lindsay and Jason who unbeknown to them at the time became voice activated light sticks for me. Thanks guys!

When writing up these quick nonsensical intros to the shoots I’m always trying to think of new ways to describe what happened on them as each one is unique to itself. With that said there are only three words needed to describe the shoot I had with Jenn and Matt:

Ninja Grappling Hook.

Jenn and Matt were simply awesome rocking out at the Sault Canal during their shoot. I had such a great time from start to finish and I believe they did as well – the laughs started right from the get go and didn’t stop. Thanks for the great day Jenn and Matt and good luck with your upcoming wedding and all that the crazy future holds for you.
