Stephanie and Andrew had a very simple non-traditional wedding at the end of the December that I had the pleasure to be apart of. I met up with them as they were getting ready at the Delta before we headed off to the Grand Theatre for their mingle, ceremony and reception. I was able to steal them away for about 20 or 30 minutes after the ceremony for some quick formal shots then it was time to let them enjoy the rest of the night.

The start of December saw us head to Las Vegas for Tricia and Marc’s wedding. Tricia is Jes’ sister which in turn makes her my sister-in-law. We got up Thursday morning and headed to the Strip to give them a mini engagement shoot in and around the Venetian. This was probably the last day that everyone has healthy. You see, when I go to Vegas I’m really there for Krispy Kremes and quarter ponies but unfortunately I along with others got hit by some crazy bug and we started dropping like flies. Jes and I were sick by dinner time Friday, Tricia got hit the hardest on Saturday, other members of the bridal party were feeling it Saturday and so were a number of guests. You’ll notice in the shots below Jes is MIA for the entirety of the formal session; there’s also a shot of me floating around Facebook keeled over on the strip in between shots. Fun times, fun times! Their ceremony was held just beside the legendary Mirage volcano which was definitely cool, we had their reception at Central in Caesar’s Palace and if anyone is going to Vegas I recommend the steak… even though I was only able to eat about 4 bites.

Krista and Brian were my last wedding of October and probably had the best weather out of them all. I started the morning off at Krista’s parents’ house where the girls were getting their finishing touches with makeup and getting into their dresses. Even their dog Jovi was in a tutu; the debate is still out on how much she actually enjoyed that though. From there we were off for the ceremony at St. Gregory’s then rocked their formal session at Fort Creek; which was a nice tie-in as that is also where we did their engagement session. We finalized the night off with a killer reception at the Marconi Hall. Through all of this the two things I still really remember about the day are: Krista and Brian claim to be HUGE Michigan fans yet they still planned their wedding on the same day Michigan played Michigan State (don’t give me the football schedule came out after our wedding date was booked excuse!) and somehow even though Krista was the bride no one really seemed to know her name with her being called Cristina (the maid-of-honour’s name) multiple times throughout the day… even by her own mother during her speech.
